Taytay Sa Kauswagan, Incorporated (TSKI) was founded last September 1986, and was established towards lifting the least privileged individuals from poverty by assisting them to develop income-generating projects and job-creating micro-enterprises.
For over 36 years of operations, TSKI has been involved in different programs that helped the poor in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. While its main thrust for social development is microenterprise, TSKI continues to pursue other programs that addresses poverty in the different sectors of the community. Aside from providing adequate financial assistance for livelihood they also educate micro-entrepreneur clients on the basic skills of entrepreneurism and business management, and aprovide capability training to promote leadership and values formation, as well as financial education, and livelihood skills training to enhance these microentrepreneurs’capacity in managing their businesses. Their holistic approach for social development also includes transformational programs and services for their clients’ spiritual growth, as well as educational assistance or scholarship programs.
TSKI closely adheres to its role as a catalyst in increasing productivity through business development, as well as in the holistic transformation of the lives of its clients. Since 2007, TSKI partnered with EnsureMePh Insurance Broker, Inc. (InsuranceKo) in providing comprehensive insurance as protection against financial losses for both TSKI and its clients.
These products are either bundled to clients’ loans or can be availed voluntarily by members without active loans.
Over the years, TSKI clients have attested to the value of insurance and InsuranceKo’s services. Merry Charmaine Catalan, a client from TSKI Tigbauan, Iloilo branch mentioned that the processing of her insurance claim was fast, easy, and hassle-free. Clients also appreciate the importance of having insurance, especially in difficult times when it is needed the most. Marlene Hontong, a client from TSKI Davao City said that insurance made their tough situation bearable, while Ivie Gorre from TSKI Talacogon noted that the most difficult incident in her life that caused her to file a claim was an eye opener for her on the importance of having oneself insured.
For the past seven (7) years alone, InsuranceKo, with its partner insurers, issued more than Php2.1 million insurance policies and paid more than Php300 million worth of insurance claims through TSKI.
